Power Generation Engineer – London
Job Description
£45,000 | 40 hours per week | Mobile Role
We’re working with a leading provider of power generation services and solutions, now seeking an experienced Power Generation Engineer to join their London team. This is a mobile role supporting clients across the capital, focusing on the service, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators and associated systems.
Role Overview:
- Service, maintain, and fault-find on a range of diesel generators and associated electrical/mechanical systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
- Perform load testing, inspections, and emergency repairs to minimise downtime
- Accurately complete service reports and ensure work meets health and safety standards
- Provide professional on-site support to clients and maintain strong customer relationships
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working with diesel generators (mechanical and electrical knowledge essential)
- Familiarity with major generator brands (e.g., FG Wilson, Cummins, Perkins, Kohler)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
